Human Resources Technician

IAC is currently in search of a full time Human Resources Technician to process biweekly payroll through QuickBooks, act as a conduit for human resources related questions, conduct new hire orientations and maintain human resources related files. The HR Technician acts as an administrator for insurances, maintains job descriptions and posts job ads, prepares and presents annual trainings and ensures payroll related taxes are processed in a timely manner. This position will also maintain the volunteer program to include coordinating with supervisors, recruiting, training, and maintaining volunteer records, required reporting and updating manuals as needed.

Minimum Qualifications include an Associates Degree in Applied Business Management or closely related field; job experience may be used in lieu of education; Prior knowledge of human resources theories, functions, protocols, and laws; One year QuickBooks experience specifically in reporting and payroll processing; Three years of experience in Word for Windows, Excel, Access and data entry; Ability to multi-task and work under pressure for project deadlines; Excellent interpersonal, group, and written communication skills; Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures and lifestyles; Ability to pass background check; Commitment to the agency’s mission and goals.

Part Time Birch Visitation Security

The Birch Center is currently looking for Relief Visitation Security. This position is specifically afternoons/evenings and weekends. The essential functions and responsibilities of this position include providing active security during supervised visits and exchanges to ensure safety including video monitoring, communication monitoring, walk through, and escorts as appropriate in compliance with safety procedures, maintaining confidentiality, providing assistance in scheduling, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: One year prior experience in the security field and a high school diploma/GED. Excellent interpersonal, group and written communication skills. Prior demonstrated ability of working with people of diverse backgrounds, culture and lifestyles. Ability to maintain boundaries. Proficient with computers and an ability to do data entry. Ability to pass background check.

Full Time and Relief Advocates

Interior Alaska Center for Non-Violent Living is looking for Victim Advocates to join our team. In this position you will have the opportunity to provide crisis intervention, systems advocacy and support to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. 

Minimum Qualifications: Must be able to work weekends, evenings and overnights. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have basic computer skills and the ability to be flexible in a fast paced teamwork environment. The ideal candidate will have experience handling sensitive issues in a mature and confidential manner with integrity and compassion. Associates degree in Human Services or closely related field; sufficient job, school or life experience may be used in lieu of the Associates degree. Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles.Commitment to agency mission and goals. Ability to pass a background check.

Legal Advocate

Interior Alaska Center for Non-Violent Living is looking for a Full Time Legal Advocate to join our team. In this position you will have the opportunity to provide support to victims of domestic violence and sexual assault through legal matters that include; protective orders, divorce and custody, as well as accompaniment to court hearings and advocating when appropriate with other community agencies. Ability to adhere to policies and Alaska Statutes regarding confidentiality is a must. Candidate also must be able to participate in the Sexual Assault Response team (SART), and present a professional demeanor to the community through appearance, communication, and presentation.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice or Paralegal Certificate or equivalent job experience. Excellent interpersonal, group, and written communication skills required. Ability to handle sensitive issues in a mature, confidential manner with integrity and compassion, and ability to pass a background check.  Proficient with computers, data base input, presentation programs and equipment, and possess a valid Alaska Driver’s License.

Careline Full Time Crisis Intervention Specialists

Careline is currently looking for a Full Time Crisis Intervention Specialist. In this position you will have the ability to implement policies, protocols and services designed to assist individuals who are thinking of or planning to commit suicide, are impacted by someone with suicidal behavior, or who are experiencing crisis that without assistance, may turn into suicidal behavior. Services are provided via phone call or text messaging. The Crisis Intervention Specialist will maintain client confidentiality except in cases where client needs must be communicated to appropriate staff and emergency personnel, provide support, information and referral for non-crisis calls, maintain accurate records of lethality assessments and client information, and other duties as assigned by the Careline Coordinator. 

Minimum qualifications include the availability to work nights, an Associates Degree in Social Work or a closely related field; prior work or life experience may be used in lieu of the degree, excellent interpersonal, group, and written communication skills, a commitment to agency's mission and goals, an ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures and lifestyles, an ability to work independently, an ability to pass background check, proficient with computers, and an ability to do data entry.
