Shelter Operations Coordinator:

Do you enjoy working with a diverse group of people? Do you like working, both, indoors and outdoors? If so, the Shelter Operations Coordinator position might be the job for you! 

In this position you will oversee the day to day shelter operations needs to include, but not limited to, a large commercial kitchen, our donations center, maintaining a clean facility, and beautification of the grounds. As a coordinator, you will be responsible for weekly safety room checks, as well as grant documentation. Lastly, as a member of the supervisor team, you will supervise shelter volunteers, the Janitor and the Shelter Operations Assistant

Minimum Qualifications include the following: An Associates Degree in Business or closely related field (two years of experience in the area of property management or supervision may be used in lieu of the education requirement). Knowledge of building and safety codes. Excellent interpersonal, group, and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles. Commitment to agency's mission and goals. Valid Alaska Driver’s License, ability to pass a background check, and the ability to lift 40lbs and walk upstairs.

Careline Full Time Crisis Intervention Specialists:

Careline is currently looking for a Full Time Crisis Intervention Specialist. In this position you will have the ability to implement policies, protocols and services designed to assist individuals who are thinking of or planning to commit suicide, are impacted by someone with suicidal behavior, or who are experiencing crisis that without assistance, may turn into suicidal behavior. Services are provided via phone call or text messaging. The Crisis Intervention Specialist will maintain client confidentiality except in cases where client needs must be communicated to appropriate staff and emergency personnel, provide support, information and referral for non-crisis calls, maintain accurate records of lethality assessments and client information, and other duties as assigned by the Careline Coordinator. 

Minimum qualifications include the availability to work nights, an Associates Degree in Social Work or a closely related field; prior work or life experience may be used in lieu of the degree, excellent interpersonal, group, and written communication skills, a commitment to agency's mission and goals, an ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds, cultures and lifestyles, an ability to work independently, an ability to pass background check, proficient with computers, and an ability to do data entry.

Birch Center Relief Security Monitor:

The Birch Center is currently looking for Relief Visitation Security. This position is specifically afternoons/evenings and weekends. The essential functions and responsibilities of this position include: Providing active security during supervised visits and exchanges to ensure safety including video monitoring, communication monitoring, walk through, and escorts as appropriate in compliance with safety procedures, maintaining confidentiality, providing assistance in scheduling, and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: One year prior experience in the security field and a high school diploma/GED. Excellent interpersonal, group and written communication skills. Prior demonstrated ability of working with people of diverse backgrounds, culture and lifestyles. Ability to maintain boundaries. Proficient with computers and an ability to do data entry. Ability to pass background check.

Birch Center Relief Visitation Monitor:

The Birch Center is currently looking for a Part Time Visitation Monitor. This position is specifically afternoons/evenings and weekends. The responsibilities of this position include: facilitating a safe, positive, and comfortable atmosphere for children to visit with their non-custodial parent while providing active monitoring of visits to ensure the safety of the victim and their children. The candidate will also provide monitoring services for supervised exchanges and will engage in and role model direct conflict resolution and mediation while presenting a professional demeanor to the community through appearance, communication and presentation.

Minimum Qualifications include availability to work afternoons/evenings and weekends, an Associates Degree in Child Development, Human Services, or closely related field; job, school or life experience may be used in lieu of the degree, excellent interpersonal, group and written communication skills, prior demonstrated ability of working with people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, and lifestyles, an ability to maintain boundaries, proficient with computers, an ability to do data entry, and an ability to pass a background check.
